Mawlana Zubair is an Islamic scholar, teacher, and Imam of Masjid Irshad.

Born in London, he was dedicated to the studies of Islamic sciences from a young age. After memorising the Qur’an he studied in numerous institutes across Pakistan including the internationally renowned Jamia Binoria (Karachi) and Jamia Ashrafia (Lahore), graduating with distinction in 1990. He has studied a range of subjects (Arabic language and literature, Islamic jurisprudence, Tafseer of the Holy Qur’an, Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, and Aqeedah) with senior Islamic scholars including Shaykh Musa Roohani Bazi, Shaykh Sarfraz Khan Safdar and Shaykh Abdur Rahman Ashrafi.

He then went on to serve as an Imam in Massachusetts, USA, for 5 years before returning to Wembley, London where he was Imam for another 5 years.

After moving to Luton, he was a Senior teacher in a private Islamic school and later took on the role of Headteacher for 10 years while continuing as Khateeb.
